The Roxbury Selectboard is seeking bids for the 2026 Mowing Season for Cemeteries and for Town Properties.

Deadline for submitting a bid is 4 p.m. on January 28, 2026.

Bids may be sent to the Town of Roxbury at PO Box 53, Roxbury, VT  05669, dropped off at the Town Office at 1664 Roxbury Road in Roxbury or you may email them to roxburytown@roxburyvt.org (please put the subject as Cemetery Mowing Bid or Town Mowing Bid)

Public Notice and RFP for Roxbury Community Hall Electrical Service Project

The Town of Roxbury is accepting bids for installing a new 200-amp service at the Roxbury Community Hall located at 1664 Roxbury Rd, Roxbury, VT.

Scope includes: A new meter socket is to be installed, with new conduit running back to the existing mast. A new line will run down into the basement to the back of the building where a new 40 circuit panel is to be installed. An outlet and light will be installed by the panel at this time. The project also includes the installation of 2 30amp lines with service disconnects for future heat pumps. Site inspection is required by all bidders.

Public Notice and RFP for Roxbury Community Hall MERP ADA Project

The Town of Roxbury is accepting bids for improving the Roxbury Community Hall to be ADA compliant at the Roxbury Community Hall located at 1664 Roxbury Rd, Roxbury, VT.

Scope includes: Demo, reconstruct / insulate and construct new walls as shown on plans. Prime all new wall surfaces. Replace windows, per plans. After the bid has been awarded, the contractor is to work with the owner on picking windows utilizing the owner’s allowance of $4,000 for materials. Note: Do not include owner allowance in bid. Install attic insulation/flooring and safety railing, per plans. Construct basement stairs. Relocate attic stairs. Include the cost of constructing the bathroom(s) walls and roughing in the plumbing. After the bid has been awarded, the contractor is to work with the owner on picking fixtures and finishes utilizing the owner’s allowance of $15,000 for materials/installation. Include the cost of installing new doors, per plan. After the bid has been awarded, the contractor is to work with the owner in selecting the specific doors and hardware. Door and hardware is to be purchased utilizing the owner’s allowance of $10,000 for materials. Provide duplex outlets 8′ O.C. along exterior walls. Installation of 4 (duplex) ethernet wall jacks w/ Cat6 circuits (in conduit) “home run” back to future panel in NW corner of building.

Site inspection is required by all bidders.

Part-Time Highway Position

The Town of Roxbury is looking for a per diem part-time winter road crew for the Winter 2025/26 season.

This position will be a contributing member of our Town of Roxbury Highway Crew and will be overseen by the Road Foreman. Work hours are storm dependent but estimated to be approximately 20–30 hours per week. This is a per diem temporary position and applicants must have a valid Class B CDL and snowplowing experience. Pre-employment drug testing and drug testing pool placement may be required as per law depending on CDL status. A salary of $24–$34 per hour is anticipated and will be commensurate with experience.

The 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence is coming soon. Vermont is going to celebrate their 250th Anniversary in 2027. The Roxbury Selectboard is looking for volunteers to be on a committee to help plan the celebrations in Roxbury.
